Former Liberal MP Siobhan Coady has decided not to make a bid to regain her old seat in the House of Commons, at least not in the election scheduled for 2015.
Coady was defeated in St. John's South-Mount Pearl in the 2011 election by the NDP's Ryan Cleary.
Coady, 53, said while she is not seeking the Liberal nomination for the riding in 2015, her decision does not necessarily mean the end of her political career.
Coady, who returned to her career in business after losing her seat, said she wanted to put the word out now about her decision give other people a chance to consider running.
Coady represented the riding for one term after winning the seat in the 2008 federal election.
