TCH eastbound closed at Butter Pot Park after multiple accidents
The RCMP warn motorists will need to detour around the area Tuesday afternoon and evening.
Police say the eastbound lanes of the Trans Canada Highway were closed Tuesday afternoon in the Butter Pot Provincial Park area southwest of St. John's, due to multiple accidents.
RCMP did not give details of how many accidents there were or if there were any injuries.
Tuesday evening, police closed the eastbound lanes at Witless Bay Line, asking motorists headed east to divert through the communities of Witless Bay or Holyrood until further notice.
