Incredible drone videos show abandoned communities, Fort Amherst
July is likely the month when Newfoundland and Labrador shines the most: whales are breaching, icebergs dot the shores and trees are greenest.
It's during this time that we're thankful for people who operate drones.
Comedian Shaun Majumder, who's new to the art of drone videography, captured this video of an abandoned community in Green Bay.
"This ghost town is only accessible by boat and was once the Cooper Capital (barrel making) of Green Bay," he wrote in Vimeo.
"Resettlement is happening again in NL, but personally I believe the gov't should be looking at ways to make rural outports viable. The heart and soul of NL are its rural communities."
CloudBreaker, a certified drone operator which specializes in drone videography and photography, caught a new prespective of historic Fort Amherst at the mouth of St. John's harbour.
Majumder also captured this iceberg video during his first drone flight, over Smith's Harbour in Green Bay.
