A man, 23, and two boys aged 14 and 16 who were seen sniffing gasoline from a garbage bag in Natuashish on Sunday afternoon were also in possession of stolen rifles, according to police.
RCMP said the rifles were stolen during a break-in earlier in the day.
"Any time you have any kind of intoxicant in a person's body and you're dealing with firearms, it certainly elevates the risk to the RCMP and certainly to the public," said RCMP Cpl. Rick Mills.
Police arrested the man and the 16-year-old. But as of late on Monday, the 14-year-old boy was still at large.
