12-year-old arrested in Fort McPherson, N.W.T., after report of shots fired

A 12-year-old was arrested in Fort McPherson, N.W.T., for allegedly firing a gun through a window of a home and threatening to kill another youth. 

No injuries are reported in the incident; the 12-year-old is also charged with uttering threats

N.W.T. RCMP have charged a 12-year-old in Fort McPherson with allegedly firing a gun and threatening to kill another youth.

In a news release Tuesday, RCMP said they were called to an incident Friday where a suspect had reportedly fired a gun through a home's window and threatened to kill a youth inside the home.

The release says no injuries were reported.

The 12-year-old, who can't be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is facing multiple firearm-related charges, as well as two charges of uttering threats.
