Alaska Highway crash results in serious injuries

RCMP say there were serious injuries in a crash involving a pickup truck and a three-wheel motorcycle on the Alaska Highway this afternoon.

Police could not say how many people were involved in the incident, but confirmed there were serious injuries. 

A section of highway, that runs through Whitehorse, was temporarily closed because of the two-vehicle accident. Southbound traffic had to be diverted around the scene of the accident as emergency crews cleared the area. Traffic on the highway was slowed for more than an hour.
