A Boeing 787 is in Iqaluit this week for cold weather testing.

The Dreamliner arrived with an Air Canada logo yesterday afternoon.

Boeing won't say what is being tested over the next couple of days, but the high-tech jet has had significant engine and battery problems in the past.

An Airbus A350 XWB — one of the Dreamliner's main competitors — was in Iqaluit last January for its own cold weather testing.

The temperature in the capital is -30 C today and is expected to remain in the low -20s all week with a wind chill of minus 44.
