Couple found dead in Lutsel K'e ID'd as Tobie and Vanessa Marlowe

Family members have confirmed the two people found dead in a home in Lutsel K'e, N.W.T., Tuesday were Vanessa and Tobie Marlowe.

Family members have confirmed the two people found dead in a home in Lutsel K'e, N.W.T., Tuesday were Vanessa and Tobie Marlowe.

RCMP say they were called to a house in the community at 7 p.m. Tuesday. That's where they found the bodies. 

The N.W.T. RCMP's Major Crimes Unit is investigating the deaths with help from the N.W.T. Coroner's Office.

Police say the deaths are suspicious, but there's no threat to the public.

The couple has been described as a quiet pair, who kept to themselves. One family member said Tobie Marlowe was traditional, spending time on the land, and that Vanessa Marlowe loved children and elders.

Family members say the deceased left behind a son.

According to court documents, both Vanessa Marlowe and Tobie Marlowe have a history of assault and alcohol-related charges.
