Emiliano Qirngnuq sworn in as Nunavut's newest MLA

Emiliano Qirngnuq was happy and excited as he was sworn in as the new MLA for Netsilik in Nunavut's legislature in Iqaluit this morning.

Just in time for today's sitting of the legislature

Emiliano Qirngnuq was happy and excited as he was sworn in as the new MLA for Netsilik in Nunavut's legislature in Iqaluit this morning. 

He says supporting the territory's young people will be one of his top priorities.

"Youth in Nunavut will be remembered as to their needs and what we'd like to see them do." 

Qirngnuq was sworn in just in time for the winter sitting.

It starts this afternoon at 1:30 p.m. ET.
