Service has been restored to Northwestel customers affected by Saturday morning disruptions to their phone and internet service, said the telecommunications company.

Several communities were affected by the problem, including Whitehorse in the Yukon, Yellowknife, Fort Smith and Norman Wells in the Northwest Territories, as well as High Level, Alta., and Fort Nelson, B.C.
