Ghidoni is no stranger to the race. In 2009, he was the first person to win the 692 km event on foot, and in 2013, Ghidoni was the first athlete to complete the distance on skis.

Yukoner Derek Crowe came in second, arriving at Dawson City on his mountain bike just 1:19 a.m. Monday.

The only other Yukoner still in the race is Jessie Thomson-Gladish who is on foot. At last word, she was about 80 km from Scroggie Creek, the final check point before Dawson City.
