There was a major shake up at Friday's annual general meeting of Golden Predator Mining in Vancouver.

Golden Predator properties include sites nears Dawson City, Watson Lake

There's been a major shakeup at Golden Predator Mining Corp.

Its high profile chairman, William Sheriff, has been ousted — as have prominent board members, including former Yukon premiers Dennis Fentie and Piers McDonald.

Golden Predator has several promising properties in the Yukon, including at Brewery Creek, near Dawson City, and Three Aces, north of Watson Lake.

The company says its largest shareholder, Till Capital, is replacing Sheriff and other board members with its own corporate directors. The five new directors include four Americans and one Swiss. Most appear to be work in corporate management and consulting. None have mining listed as their occupation in a statement issued by Till Capital.

Sheriff says he and the ousted directors will look for new ways to continue advocating for resource development in the Yukon.
