Man dies in ATV accident in Taloyoak

A man was found dead by RCMP in Taloyoak on Thursday morning at the site of an ATV crash.

Police believe 50-year-old man lost control and went into embankment

A 50-year-old man died in an ATV accident Thursday in Taloyoak, Nunavut.

Police were called to the scene at 9:30 a.m. and found the man had died of his injuries.

Police believe the man lost control of his ATV and went into an embankment. 

The man was not wearing a helmet and was alone on the ATV. No other vehicles were involved.

The coroner has deemed the death accidental and is not ordering an autopsy.

RCMP are reminding the public to wear helmets when riding ATVs.
