Emergency vehicles rushed to scene Sunday night after young people alerted police

The body of a young man was found in the water off N'dilo around 6 p.m. on Sunday evening.

N'dilo Chief Ernest Betsina says some young people saw the body floating in the water east of the community and called police.

At least five emergency vehicles rushed to the scene, along with the coroner.

N'dilo sits on the edge of Yellowknife, on a spit of land in Yellowknife Bay on Great Slave Lake.
