New airport terminal opens in Chesterfield Inlet, Nunavut
Building is 1 of 6 new air terminals being built in the territory

The government of Nunavut opened the new Chesterfield Inlet air terminal building on Wednesday.
It's one of six new air terminals being built in the territory and the second to open this year, after a new facility opened in Kimmirut in March.
Nunavut Transportation and Infrastructure Minister, David Joanasie, Minister of Community Services David Akeeagok, Rankin Inlet North-Chesterfield Inlet MLA Alexander Sammurtok and Mayor Simionie Sammurtok attended the airport's grand opening.
The new terminals are federally funded by the National Trade Corridors Fund, which allocated $80.2 million toward the upgrades.
Terminals in Naujaat, Whale Cove, Kugluktuk, and Rankin Inlet are expected to open later this year, according to a government of Nunavut news release last month.
