Nunavut RCMP investigating after human remains found near Kugluktuk

Police in Nunavut say they're investigating after human remains were found outside the community. 

Police say they're working to identify the person, coroner also investigating

Police in Nunavut say they're investigating after human remains were found near Kugluktuk.

In a news release Thursday, the territory's RCMP said the remains were found at Four Mile Bay, about 10 kilometres from the community. Police said they received a report about the remains on Tuesday around 3:20 p.m.

RCMP brought the remains back the community and work is now being done to identify the person. 

The Nunavut coroner's office told CBC News they have also opened an investigation.
