Alberta incident team investigating 'discharge of a service weapon' in Whitehorse neighbourhood
Man arrested in Porter Creek neighbourhood Monday afternoon

The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) has been called to investigate a shooting incident involving police in the Porter Creek neighbourhood of Whitehorse on Monday.
Nobody was injured in the incident, but RCMP said earlier that one man had been arrested.
In a news release, Yukon RCMP said they responded to a complaint of a man with a firearm in the Pine Street area of Porter Creek. They advised the public that there would be an increased police presence in the area, and said the public was not at risk.
In a Tweet later on Monday, ASIRT said it had been directed to investigate "the discharge of a service weapon" in Porter Creek.

According to ASIRT's website, the organization investigates "events where serious injury or death may have been caused by police and serious or sensitive allegations of police misconduct."
No other details have been provided. Yukon RCMP referred any further inquiries about the incident to ASIRT.
CBC has not yet been able to reach ASIRT.
