CBC has confirmed that the Qulliq Energy Corp. made an offer to the Nunavut Employees Union Thursday morning.

Qulliq Energy's 140 unionized workers, who perform mechanical, electrical and line maintenance work in communities across Nunavut, went on strike three weeks ago, after the union and the company left the negotiation table over the issue of wages.

The offer was made in writing Thursday morning and members of the union's bargaining team are reviewing it.

"I can't share any details at this time," says Bill Fennell, the president of the Nunavut Employees Union.

"We will have an answer by tomorrow."

The energy workers have been without a contract since the end of 2013.
