RCMP investigate Fort McPherson's finances

The Hamlet of Fort McPherson, N.W.T. is under investigation by the RCMP's Financial Crime Section.

In a news release, the RCMP say the investigation stems from a complaint in March 2013 of "financial irregularities."

Police say the hamlet was informed it would have to perform a financial audit. Those results were turned over to the RCMP.

They say the investigation is ongoing.
