RCMP say search for missing teen in Arctic Bay, Nunavut, has been suspended

RCMP in Arctic Bay, Nunavut, say the search for 14-year-old Richard Jr Bohlender, last seen on June 28, has been suspended.

RCMP in Arctic Bay, Nunavut, say the search for a missing 14-year-old has been suspended.

Richard Jr Bohlender, also known as Jaaji, was last seen on June 28 and was reported missing on June 30. 

In a news release on Tuesday, RCMP said the decision to conclude the search by Nunavut Emergency Management was made "in consultation with partner agencies."

The news release says the search involved a search and rescue coordinator, volunteers with the local Ground Search and Rescue and assistance by the Canadian Rangers. The RCMP also said it sent in multiple police officers, aerial drones and a police dog unit from Quebec. 

RCMP say they will continue investigating Bohlender's disappearance as a missing person file and they're asking anyone with information to contact police.
