The accident happened at about 6:30 a.m., about one kilometre south of Bigway Foods, near Falcon Drive.

Police arrived to find an 18-year-old man and an 18-year-woman, both passengers in the vehicle, dead at the scene. They have not been named by police.

A male passenger was also assessed at the scene, and another male passenger was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver was arrested and taken to hospital, then later released into police custody.
