Whitehorse RCMP ask for witnesses after downtown collision involving cyclist and police vehicle

RCMP in Whitehorse are looking for witnesses after a collision between an RCMP SUV and a cyclist on Tuesday in the city's downtown.

RCMP in Whitehorse are looking for witnesses after a collision between a police vehicle and a cyclist on Tuesday in the city's downtown.

Police said in a news release that the incident happened at about 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Main Street and involved an RCMP SUV.

RCMP say the cyclist was taken to hospital for treatment after the collision but they provided no other details.

Police say they have video footage of the incident, and they're also asking anyone who saw the collision to call them at 667-5555.
