Yellowknife officials hold meeting on public safety
Reporters from CBC Yellowknife live tweeted the meeting about the six sexual assaults reported by RCMP in the past three months.
Yellowknifers concerned about safety in their community got a chance to ask their questions Thursday night.
Officials from the Department of Justice, the RCMP, the City of Yellowknife and the Health Department held a public meeting at Northern United Place at Franklin Avenue and 54 Street starting at 7 p.m.
In the past three months, six sexual assaults have been reported to RCMP in Yellowknife. The meeting was meant to provide an open discussion, where Yellowknifers can raise questions and concerns about public safety in the city.
