Yellowknife RCMP say no one injured after knife seized at Mildred Hall School

Mildred Hall School was put into lockdown on Tuesday while Yellowknife RCMP responded to a report that a student uttered a threat with a knife.

Yellowknife RCMP and 'G' Division Police Dog Services were dispatched to Mildred Hall School at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday to respond to the incident, according to an RCMP news release.

A 13-year-old student uttered a threat with a knife that put staff and students in danger, the news release stated.

RCMP seized the knife without issue, before bringing the student to Stanton Territorial Hospital in Yellowknife to receive care.

There were no injuries to students or staff during the incident.
