Here's a look at what's happening around Yukon this weekend:
Queer film fest
What: The fifth annual OUT North film festival is on this weekend, presented by the Yukon Queer Film Alliance. You can see six feature films over three nights, including the Oscar-winning film The Danish Girl and the Oscar-nominated film, Carol. There are two different films showing each night.
When: Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 6 p.m.
Where: Yukon Beringia Centre in Whitehorse

Jazz CD release
What: The Winter Trio is holding a CD release concert Friday night. The trio features Daniel Janke on piano, Paul Bergman on bass and Ken Searcy on drums. They draw their music from both American and European jazz traditions as well as more modern approaches.
When: Friday 7:30 p.m.
Where: Old Fire Hall, Front Street, Whitehorse
Opening the Doors on poetry
What: In celebration of National Poetry Month, Well-Read Books presents: An Evening with The Doorknobs — A Tribute to The Doors. Friday features opening acts, local poets Lily Gontard and Maggie Larocque. Saturday, there'll be KJ Munro and Jamella Hagen. The Doorknobs feature local musicians David Sutton, Mike Trainor, Mike Smith, Mike Millar and Janelle Langlais.
When: Both shows start at 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday.
Where: Well-Read Books, 4th Ave Whitehorse
Shake it All Night Long
What: Thunderstruck, an AC/DC tribute band from Vancouver, will be in Whitehorse this weekend. Car Ramrod, a local band featuring Mike Barr, Marcus Steiner, Adam Cripps and Daniel Vigneau, will be the opening act.
When: Friday and Saturday
Where: Jarvis Street Saloon, Whitehorse
Home Routes tour
What: David Stoddard is playing house concerts across the territory. He's a songwriter and teacher who hails from western Minnesota.
Where & When: Mayo, Thursday, Dawson City, Friday, Old Crow, Sunday and Monday
