Boy, 3, dies after being hit by vehicle in Bedford

A 3-year-old boy is dead after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street on Friday night.

No charges have been laid at this time, say police

A three-year-old boy is dead after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a street in Bedford, N.S., on Friday evening.

Halifax Regional Police say they responded to the incident on Brownstone Way, a residential street near Brookline Drive in West Bedford around 7:50 p.m.

From the scene, the boy was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. 

Police say no charges have been laid at this time, but an investigation is ongoing with the support of the collision reconstruction unit.
