A Dartmouth man has been charged in a drug overdose death five months ago.

Lance Kevin Rogers, 19, was arrested Monday night and has been charged with manslaughter and criminal negligence causing death, Halifax Regional Police said Tuesday in a news release.

Police allege Rogers trafficked the drugs that caused the death of Darian Clayton-Fleet, 18, whose body was found inside a home on Craigburn Drive in Dartmouth on Nov. 10 when officers were called to a report of a drug overdose.

Police would not reveal the drug believed responsible for the overdose, saying that is now part of their investigation.

Police said they do not believe anyone else was involved in Fleet's death.
