Halifax police have identified the man they found dead in a South Street rooming house on Sunday night.

Halifax police have identified the man they found dead in a South Street rooming house on Sunday night.

David William Rose was 65.

Officers are treating his death as a homicide. 

Rose was found dead Sunday at 10:55 p.m. on the 5200 block of South Street.

The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy Monday morning. Police said the cause of his death will not be released.

No one has been arrested in his death.
