Man, 41, charged with second-degree murder after mother's death in Halifax

Halifax Regional Police say the son of a woman found dead earlier this week has been charged with second-degree murder.

Halifax Regional Police say the son of a woman found dead earlier this week has been charged with second-degree murder.

Jonathan William Pinsky, 41, is accused of killing his mother, 71-year-old Delina Pinsky. 

She was found dead on Thursday after police conducted a well-being check at Quingate Place in Halifax.

The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service later ruled the death a homicide.

On Saturday, police reported that Jonathan William Pinsky had been located after they circulated his image on social media the previous day. 

He was remanded for the weekend and will appear in court on Tuesday.
