A 46-year-old woman from Salmon River died Wednesday night in a motorcycle crash in Stewiacke, N.S.

A 46-year-old woman from Salmon River, N.S., died Wednesday night in a motorcycle crash in Stewiacke.

The woman was a passenger on the motorcycle, which left Highway 2 between Main Street and George Street and went into a ditch at about 9:30 p.m., RCMP said in a news release Friday.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 61-year-old man from Shubenacadie East, was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries, the release said.
