Suspicious death of 28-year-old man in Halifax area ruled a homicide

The suspicious death of a 28-year-old man in the Halifax area last week has been ruled a homicide.
About 10:50 p.m. AT last Thursday, Halifax RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of Lake Loon Road in Loon Lake, which is about 13 kilometres east of downtown Halifax.
A man's body was found inside the car. His death has been ruled a homicide by the medical examiner's office, police said Wednesday.
Cpl. Chris Marshall, a spokesperson for the Nova Scotia RCMP, said police are not releasing the cause of death or the victim's identity at this point.
No arrests had been made as of Wednesday.
The man's death is the fourth homicide in Dartmouth in the past two months.
When asked about any potential connections to the other three deaths, including Alexander Joseph Frederick Thomas, Vincent Beals and 8-year-old Lee'Marion Cain, Marshall said the investigation is still in its early stages.
"Investigators are ... continuing to work towards gathering information and evidence," he said. "At this point, it would be premature to make connections to other, you know, ongoing investigations."
Marshall said RCMP do not believe the Lake Loon homicide is a random act.
