1 dead in Clarence-Rockland, 1 arrested: OPP

The person was found dead near Lalonde Street at around 3 p.m. Friday, Ontario Provincial Police told Radio-Canada.

One person is dead in Clarence-Rockland, Ont., and a second person has been arrested, provincial police say.

The incident happened near Lalonde Street just before 3 p.m. Friday, Ontario Provincial Police told Radio-Canada.

Police have not yet said how the person died or what charges — if any — the person in custody faces.

They told Radio-Canada that more information would be provided in a news release.

For now, residents in Rockland should expect a higher than normal police presence, OPP said.

The scene is roughly 40 kilometres east of downtown Ottawa.
