Canada Votes 2025: Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands-Rideau Lakes

Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands-Rideau Lakes keeps its boundaries from the previous election, and nearly keeps its name.

The only change here in the redistribution is a dash in its name

Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands-Rideau Lakes just has one small change to its name and no changes to its borders. (Elections Canada)

Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands-Rideau Lakes keeps its boundaries from the previous election, and nearly keeps its name.

All the regular independent boundary review after the 2021 census did was remove "and" between "Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes," replacing it with a dash to make it the same in French and English.

Only it and Algonquin-Renfrew-Pembroke have the same riding map as before.

The riding mostly makes up the area between the Rideau and St. Lawrence rivers from Kingston east to South Dundas, including Brockville, Kemptville, Prescott and Westport.

Gord Brown took it from Liberal to Conservative in 2004, and it has stuck with the party since. Michael Barrett got just over 50 per cent of the vote in 2021.

Campus advance voting is April 13 to 18, general advance voting is April 18 to 21 and the deadline to apply to vote by mail is April 22. Elections Canada has more information on voting options ahead of election day on Monday, April 28.
