Canada Votes 2025: Ottawa Centre
A provincial rematch is part of the downtown riding's ballot

This downtown riding has a slightly different map and a provincial rematch as part of its ballot.
After the usual independent boundary review, Ottawa Centre now includes voters northwest of Bank Street and the railway tracks near Walkley — the Mooney's Bay and Billings Bridge areas, for example — that were previously in Ottawa South.
The Shillington Avenue area and many homes around the north end of Broadview Area change to Ottawa West-Nepean.
Besides adjusting for population change, the redistribution report says this avoids splitting the Carlington area and communities around the Rideau River.

Besides a Conservative byelection win in the 1970s, the riding has flipped between the Liberals and NDP. It's been Liberal since 2015.
Campus advance voting is April 13 to 18, general advance voting is April 18 to 21 and the deadline to apply to vote by mail is April 22. Elections Canada has more information on voting options ahead of election day on Monday, April 28.
Among the confirmed candidates are Liberal MP Yasir Naqvi and former NDP MPP Joel Harden, who beat Naqvi in the provincial race in 2018.
Martyn Simms was listed by the People's Party until the beginning of April, when his profile was deleted and the riding listed as vacant by the party.
Andrea Chabot, Canadian Future Party
The candidate for the new centrist party has worked on taxes inside and outside of government, including redesigning programs at the Canada revenue Agency.
