Collision in rural Ottawa injures 5
Child suffered life-threatening injuries in crash near Greely on Wednesday

Five people were injured Wednesday afternoon when an SUV and a dump truck collided in rural Ottawa, according to police and paramedics.
Emergency crews were called just after 3:30 p.m. to Parkway Road and 9th Line Road near Greely, Ottawa police said in a news release Thursday morning.
Police said a child in the SUV suffered life-threatening injuries, while two adults and two other children suffered serious injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured.
An Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson told CBC all five patients were transported to hospital. The four patients with serious injuries were in stable condition at the time, paramedics said.
Police are continuing to investigate and have asked anyone with information or footage of the collision to contact them.
The collision occurred about 20 kilometres southeast of downtown Ottawa.
