Serious collision in Tecumseh sends driver to hospital

Ontario Provincial Police say a driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision on Manning Road in Tecumseh Thursday.

Ontario Provincial Police say a driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision on Manning Road in Tecumseh Thursday.

Officers were called to the scene south of County Road 22 at around 3:42 p.m., OPP said in a news release issued Thursday night.

Tecumseh Fire and Rescue and Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services (EMS) helped extract the driver from the vehicle, police said. 

Manning Road was closed for several hours for the investigation but has since reopened.
