Son accused of manslaughter in father's death in Gatineau

A 21-year-old man from North York, Ont., has been charged with manslaughter for his father's death last week in Gatineau, Que.

Gatineau police first said in a news release Friday they were called to a home on Promenade Lakeview in the city's western community of Aylmer around 6:15 a.m.

A 60-year-old man was seriously injured and taken to a hospital, police said at the time, while a suspect was arrested at the scene.

On Monday, city police said that the injured man was Conrad Robinson from Gatineau, that he had died in the hospital and that his son had been charged with killing him.

They said their investigation continues.
