After a byelection win at the end of last summer, voters in the region's southwest corner have again sided with the Progressive Conservatives.

CBC projects Tyler Allsopp will again represent Bay of Quinte.

The riding sits in eastern Ontario's southwestern corner and contains Prince Edward County, Quinte West (including CFB Trenton) and southern Belleville. The riding was created in 2015.

Progressive Conservative Todd Smith won the seat for the fourth time in 2022 before resigning for a job in the energy sector.

Allsopp, a former Belleville city councillor, then held it for the PCs in a byelection, winning nearly 39 per cent support and topping the Liberals by about 2,000 votes.

Six candidates ran for the seat.
