Tobi Nussbaum will once again represent Rideau-Rockcliffe at the city council table.
With all 119 polls in the ward reporting, Nussbaum secured 80 per cent of the vote, with 7,334 ballots cast in his favour.
His only rival, Peter Heyck, put up 1, 774 votes. Heyck had run for council and school board trustee in the past.
During the campaign affordable housing, programs for at-risk youth, preserving green space and improving transit service emerged as issues among voters. An increase in shooting incidents in the ward over the last few years also became an issue.
Nussbaum first entered politics in 2014, winning with 47 per cent of the vote.
The results remain unofficial until the city clerk verifies the final poll counts, which is expected to happen by Thursday.
