Wake up to a full day of Canada Day coverage on CBC beginning at Confederation Landing Park in Charlottetown.


Join CBC News host Heather Hiscox and celebrate Canada from the birthplace of Confederation from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on July 1.

CBC will provide coverage from locations across the country in communities from coast to coast to coast throughout the day.

Family Fun

Join CBC at the Family Fun Zone at Victoria Park from noon to 7 p.m. Drop by our colourful CBC tent and strike a pose in our 360 Video experience. Bring the little ones along—they'll love meeting the one and only Gary the Unicorn from CBC Kids!  And, just to make things even more exciting, we'll have some cool prizes up for grabs too.

Blue Rodeo performs a free concert in Summerside

In the evening in Summerside, Blue Rodeo will be performing a free concert and will be part of CBC's Canada Day celebrations, airing across the country on July 1. 

The legendary alt-country rockers are among the lineup for the Celebrating our Canada, Loud and Proud concert special airing at 9 p.m. across all CBC platforms.

Morgan Grace will perform with Blue Rodeo. The special, hosted by Isabelle Racicot, will also include special guests Sarah McLachlan; Cœur de pirate; Josh Ross; Tom Cochran;, Mitsou; Amanda Marshall; Roch Voisine; Randy Bachman; Édith Butler; TALK; Dumas & Ivan Boivin-Flamand; Fredz; Aasiva; Muzion; Billie du Page; Dear Rouge; Crook the Kid; Brenda Montana; Jeff Douglas; Katherine Levac; Les Sœurs Bégin; and Enola Bedard. Featuring memorable performances from across the country, the event's grand finale will culminate with a special fireworks display, lighting up the Ottawa-Gatineau sky.
