P.E.I. Clubhouse clients take part in flash mob to raise awareness about mental health issues.

A flash mob broke out in Charlottetown Friday in hopes of raising awareness about World Mental Health Day.

Clubhouse Program clients from Fitzroy Centre in Charlottetown and Summerside's Notre Dame Place joined to perform the flash mob to create national awareness of mental illness.

The group, which danced outside the Confederation Centre, encouraged people to talk about their own issues dealing with mental illness.

Other Clubhouse organizations across the country took part in events, including Hope Central in Alberton.

Clubhouses provide adults and youth dealing with mental issues support in their recovery.
