With a federal election officially underway, 20 candidates have been confirmed so far across Prince Edward Island.

On March 23, Liberal Leader Mark Carney asked Governor General Mary Simon to dissolve Parliament, triggering the federal election.

Canadians will go to the polls on April 28.

To make sense of who's running for which party and where, CBC P.E.I. has compiled a list of candidates running in each of the province's four ridings.

The Conservative, Liberal, New Democratic and Green parties each have a full slate of candidates on the Island. Meanwhile, the People's Party of Canada has three and there is one Independent.
