If some of the new attractions at the Shining Waters Family Fun Park in Cavendish, P.E.I. look like ones that were found at Moncton's Crystal Palace before it closed, there's a good reason why.

The Maritime Fun Group, owners of the Shining Waters Family Fun Park, has acquired some of Crystal Palace's attractions, which will be used in two new projects.

"The major project... is the construction of the Buccaneer Bay Bullet, which is a large outdoor installation of a roller coaster, again, part of the package that was purchased from Crystal Palace," said Matthew Jelley, president of the Maritime Fun Group.

P.E.I.'s provincial government is giving a $300,000 repayable loan to the company to help make the purchase.
