Person shot dead by RCMP officer in Deschambault Lake, Sask.
Police say they cannot yet publicly identify the victim

A person is dead after being shot by an RCMP officer in Deschambault Lake, Sask., Friday morning.
"This investigation is unfolding and we are unable to publicly identify or provide further details about the deceased individual at this time," Saskatchewan RCMP said in a news release Friday.
No officers were injured, the release continued.
Police say several people were taken into custody in relation to the incident.
The initial call for service to Deschambault Lake RCMP is currently being investigated, according to officials.
Police say there will be increased police presence near Oskatuc Avenue in Deschambault Lake and are advising people to avoid the area as they continue to investigate.
The incident is also being investigated by the Saskatchewan Serious Incident Response Team (SIRT), the province's police oversight agency.
Police say they will provide further information as they are able to and advise the public if they identify an imminent safety risk.
RCMP did not provide any other information, including what led to the shooting.
