Inmate who escaped from Besnard Lake Correctional Centre in April arrested
Kobe Kiseyinewakup had been last seen on April 14

Pinehouse RCMP say they re-arrested an inmate who escaped from the Besnard Lake Correctional Centre in April.
RCMP arrested Kobe Kiseyinewakup, 26, on May 9 in Mudie Lake. He is scheduled to appear in court in Pinehouse on Aug. 7.
He had previously last been seen by staff at the facility, which is about 340 kilometres north of Saskatoon, at about 8 p.m. CST on April 14, 2025.
Kiseyinewakup was charged with 11 offences — including robbery with firearm, discharge firearm with intent, discharge firearm while being reckless, and aggravated assault — after a 2023 armed robbery on Deer Lake Trail. He was then arrested by Saskatchewan RCMP's Meadow Lake Crime Reduction Team on Island First Nation and charged with an additional count of mischief under $5,000.
