Prince Albert RCMP searching for vehicle involved in fatal hit and run
Police believe the vehicle is a black Jeep, with damage to its front end
Prince Albert RCMP are asking for the public's help finding a vehicle they believe was involved in a fatal hit and run early Tuesday morning.
Police say they received a report around 2:15 a.m. CST on Tuesday of a body on Highway 11, just south of the MacDowall turnoff.
Officers found a dead adult male. RCMP say he has not been formally identified.
Upon investigation, police determined the man had been hit by a vehicle in the southbound lanes.
The Saskatchewan RCMP's general investigation section (GIS) is now investigating the incident and trying to find the vehicle that hit the man.
Investigators say they believe the vehicle was a black Jeep, which likely has damage from the collision on its front.
Police would like to speak with anyone who was traveling through the area at the time, or may have know where the black Jeep currently is.
They are also asking anyone with surveillance or dashcam footage from the area and time in question to report it to police. They are interested in all footage from Highway 11 south of MacDowall between midnight and 2:15 a.m. CST on Tuesday morning.
