Saskatoon man charged in fatal e-scooter collision released with conditions
Wade Scott Chaboyer, 38, charged with impaired driving after 25-year-old was killed in Saturday collision
A Saskatoon man accused of killing a 25-year-old e-scooter driver in a collision last Saturday is now out of jail, with a list of specific conditions.
Wade Scott Chaboyer, 38, is charged with fleeing the scene of an accident, operating a motor vehicle while impaired, and operating a motor vehicle while having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding 80 mg of alcohol causing death.
Saskatoon police were called after the 25-year-old scooter rider was found dead on Warman Road near Circle Drive just after 3 a.m. Saturday, a previous news release from the police service said.
Investigators believe a car was travelling northbound on Warman Road when it hit the 25-year-old.
Chaboyer was arrested and charged later that day. He was released Wednesday by consent of the Crown and defence, with numerous conditions.
They include reporting to a probation officer, abiding by a curfew, not drinking any alcohol and not driving.
Chaboyer is due back in court July 17.
