Greater Sudbury Police say they are investigating a homicide after a man with a gunshot wound was found dead in a pickup truck parked in a home's garage.

Police said officers and emergency responders were dispatched to a home on Lansdowne Street Sunday afternoon after they were informed about a suspicious vehicle on the property.

Firefighters gained access to the black Dodge Ram pickup truck where they found the dead man inside with a gunshot wound.

Police said a postmortem will be conducted on Tuesday to determine the man's exact cause of death and to identify him.

In a news release, Greater Sudbury Police said there were no residents in the home when officers arrived there on Sunday.

Officers will continue to canvass the area for information and video surveillance footage.
