Temiskaming crash leaves 1 dead, 3 injured: OPP

A motorcycle driver is dead after a Highway 11 crash in Harley Township on Thursday.

Temiskaming Ontario Provincial Police report that the crash between a motorcycle and a pick-up truck happened around 1 p.m.

The driver of the motorcycle, 50-year-old Daryl Smith of Etobicoke, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver of the pick-up truck, 60-year-old Garry Bennett, and passengers Sherron Belanger, 54, and Gavin Bennett, 16, all from Hudson Township, were treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries and released.

Highway 11 was opened in both directions before 8 p.m. Thursday, but the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
