Last Sunday, a local resident found a human skull in a wooded area near the Uplands Golf and Ski Club in Vaughan.
With help from the coroner's office, York Regional Police were able to identify the man. So far, they said Friday, there is no evidence of foul play.
Police said they are still investigating at the scene.
Det. Sgt. John Braybrook told reporters on Monday it would take several days to search the area where the skull was found to look for any other remains.
He asked that anyone with information about the skull to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
